Tragedy at Virginia Tech

Two days after the tragedy newspapers reported that the Virginia Tech University saved the domain http://www.choseunghui.com/ (also see: http://www.choseunghui.de/) preventing fraudulent use. For me as a member in the field of Public Relations (PR) it is a 'good' example how PR has to be managed in the Internet, especially in crisis communication.

Against the background of Web 2.x everybody who is freaked out posts its worries, but who can give orientation, I mean professional support in the Internet.

Is this a new task for politics? In the case of yes, how assume responsibility for this / the United Nations, or whom? Or what do you think?
